Holy Trinity offers a variety of ways to get involved with the community. Come visit us for fun, friendship, and fellowship.

Lydia's Circle

 

If you enjoy quilting and fellowship, please consider joining our Lydia's Circle group.  We support many worthwhile ministries with our craft including Nurses For Newborns and blankets for the military overseas.  Our group meets each month on the 1st and 3rd Friday at 1:00 p.m.  For more information, contact the church office at 314-714-9060.

Binding Times Book Club

We choose our books democratically, voting on titles suggested by book club members. Sometimes we read bestsellers, and sometimes we read something slightly more obscure. Whatever the book, a lively discussion ensues when we mix bibliophiles with quality literature…and delicious snacks.

While we began as a fellowship activity, our group soon developed a service aspect. Throughout the year, our readers purchase new children’s books for Santa’s Helpers. Santa’s Helpers is a local charity which distributes Christmas gifts to needy children. Each child also receives a new age-appropriate book. At our book club’s December meeting, we wrap these new books, and members deliver the books to the Santa’s Helpers warehouse. Over our ten years, the Binding Times book club has donated over 1,200 new children’s books! Wow!

We also maintain a used book shelf in the narthex. Anyone may take home any of the books on our shelf, and if you care to, leave a monetary donation. Any money from our book shelf is used to purchase more children’s books for Santa’s Helpers.

More voices mean an even livelier discussion. We invite you to look over our 2015 book choices and find one or more you’d like to read. With a few exceptions, noted on the schedule, we meet on the fourth Sunday of the month, at 6:30 PM, in the fellowship hall. We welcome your voice in our discussion.
